Refund Policy

Quick Summary

Refunds: Available within 7 days of purchase/renewal and only if usage is < 10 tracking prompts (queries) on the account.

Cancellations: Monthly and annual plans can be cancelled anytime. Access remains active until the end of the current billing period as per the plan's validity. Outside the 7-day window above, no refunds are issued.

Definitions

Tracking prompt / query: Any request you or your workspace initiates that consumes Citefy tracking capacity (e.g., discovery, monitoring, or diagnostics prompts that count toward your plan's query limit). System logs determine this count.

Billing period: The interval you paid for (monthly or annual), starting on the purchase or renewal date.

Refunds

Eligible for Refund

You are eligible for a refund when all of the following are true:

Your request is made within 7 days of the original purchase or renewal
Your total usage is fewer than 10 tracking prompts/queries across the account

Not Eligible

Requests made after 7 days from purchase/renewal
Accounts that have used 10 or more tracking prompts/queries
Add-ons, professional services, or one-time setup/implementation fees
Fees charged by third-party providers that are non-refundable to Citefy

How Refunds Are Processed

Refunds are returned to the original payment method
Please allow your bank/card provider normal processing time (commonly 5–10 business days) after Citefy issues the refund

Cancellations (Monthly & Annual)

  • You can cancel anytime from your billing settings or by contacting support.
  • After cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period, and then won't renew.
  • No pro-rated or partial refunds are provided for the remaining time in the billing period, except where you qualify under Section 3.

Renewals:

Each renewal is treated as a new billing period. The 7-day / <10 queries rule applies to each renewal window.

Evidence & Abuse Prevention

  • Eligibility is determined using Citefy's server logs for timestamps and query counts.
  • We may deny refunds in cases of abuse, fraud, or breach of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.

Chargebacks

If you file a chargeback, your access may be suspended during the investigation. We recommend contacting support@citefy.com first so we can resolve issues quickly.

Taxes & Currency

Refunds are issued in the original transaction currency. Applicable taxes collected at purchase are refunded where required by law.

Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable consumer rights that may apply in your jurisdiction.

How to Request a Refund or Cancel

Refund request: Email support@citefy.com with your account email, invoice ID, and confirmation that usage is under 10 tracking prompts.

Cancel anytime: Use Billing → Manage Subscription in the app, or email us.
